It fails with some error complaining that the PC cannot be upgraded to win10. Thanks in advance, and yes, I tried upgrading the PC to win10. The new Kenwoods are nice!īut really, is there some registry setting stuck? Where to even look? I refuse to give up. I have uninstalled the resulting 'unknown' usb device in device manager, uninstalled the driver (CP210xVCPInstaller_圆4.exe, plus any other version I can get my hands on) then rebooted, re-installed the CP210x driver, plugged in the USB, and - fail. Problem: USB ports on the 9100 are not recognised. I also have a desktop PC (16gb, Asus Z87 Extreme4 mobo) that I want to use to replace the laptop. That fan would scream at me whenever it decoded FT8, but it worked. I have an Icom 9100 that was connected happily to an old HP laptop (2011 or 12) running Windows 7.
